Managament of Audiology II

Description

This course will provide information and strategies for the habilitation/rehabilitation of individuals with hearing loss, with emphasis on the adult population. Specifically, the student will gain knowledge about the effects of hearing impairment, assessment issues, and habilitation/rehabilitation appropriate strategies. These include non-hearing aid prosthetic intervention (assistive listening devices, cochlear implants), perceptual intervention (speechreading and auditory training), communication management, and counseling technique.
