Medical Oncology

Description

The objective of this elective is to familiarize the student with the evaluation, medical management, and follow-up of patients with cancer in both the inpatient and outpatient setting. The student will work closely with the inpatient attending and fellow to answer consults and will participate in decision-making and care related to these patients. In addition, the student will participate in the daily outpatient clinics with fellows and faculty for a broader exposure to patients with different malignancies. Self-assessment test material will be provided for student's use.
