Neonatal Medicine

Description

Study and management of disorders which occur in the first 28 days of life including the sequelae of extreme prematurity. Experience is directed particularly toward the management of acute problems in the immediate newborn period such as stabilization and resuscitation, acid base-balance, ventilator management and nutrition. Students will function as an acting intern with a limited number of patients. Students will have four night calls during their month. Night call will end at 10:00 pm.
