Anesthesiology & Peri-Operative Medicine

Description

An elective that will provide a broad overview of all aspects of peri-operative medicine and is equally applicable to the students interested in anesthesiology and those pursuing other specialties. This course is divided in to 4 one-week phases, which include general adult anesthesiology, pediatric anesthesia, obstetrical anesthesia, and pain management. Techniques of airway management, invasive line placement, EKG interpretation, general and regional anesthesia techniques, cardiac output measurement, and concepts of pain management will all be extensively reviewed.
